It’s true, getting kids to eat healthy foods regularly is a struggle. Many parents take the path of least resistance and feed them what they think they will only eat. They go as far as feeding them a separate group of foods from what they are eating. Big mistake. If you want your kids to grow up to be healthy food eaters and thus be healthy as they grow into adults. You have to start them eating a variety of healthy foods when they are young. Like as young as possible.
You absolutely have to model healthy eating yourself. If you eat unhealthy foods then its a losing battle to get kids to eat healthy foods.Take a little time and effort to make healthy foods taste good by preparing them well like fruits and vegetables, whole grains, deserts (that are not all about sugar etc). If you offer only foods that are healthy choices, kids get used to those tastes. If you limit the opportunity for your kids to get used to the three unhealthy tastes (sugar or high fructose corn syrup, fat and salt) you will have a much better chance of not fighting with them at every healthy meal or snack time.
These unhealthy tastes and food choices are all around and being pushed on kids non stop through fast foods, soda’s, unhealthy deserts, endless unhealthy snacks. Check out what the families of your kids play friends are offering for snacks and meals, especially the ones who’s houses they may frequent. Talk to the parents about not feeding your kids the junk foods and soda’s etc. Once your kids get hooked on those tasty junk food tastes it can be more of an uphill battle to get them to willingly eat russian food store the healthy foods you offer.
It is unfortunate that the mainstream food industry has created all this total non nutritious food filled with synthetic garbage and then heavily marketed to our kids.

In soda pop, snacks, ice creams, in much of the highly processed foods in the average super market. Look at the labels, stay away from it at all cost.
Getting kids to eat healthy diets is not that hard if you start off correctly and remain vigilant. Kids will go with what they are offered until they start getting offered all kinds of unhealthy foods that taste really good, like sugary, salty types of tastes. It’s not easy to keep your kid on the right track with food choices when you can’t control every waking minute of their exposure to the unhealthy food world outside your home.
It will also help a lot if you talk to your kids from an early age about why it so good to eat healthy foods. Like how much less they will get sick, how much more energy they will have for play and sports. How much better their skin will look as they get to young teenagers. How much better they will feel in general everyday.
